College of International Education
College of International Education in Beijing Information Science & Technology University(BISTU) was established in October 2013 and can be traced back to the first batch of International students enrolled in 2000. The College is mainly responsible for the enrollment, education and management of International students in BISTU. At present, it has formed an education and training system for International students,which mainly focuses on bachelor’s and master’s degree education and is supplemented by the education of Chinese language students and exchange students. Up till now, the College has enrolled over 1000 International students from more than 40 countries , including the United States, Germany, Austria, Italy, Ireland, Sweden, Turkey, Korea, Australia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, etc.
The College consists of three departments: general office, enrollment and student service office and teaching department. 50% of the Chinese language teachers have a doctor’s degree, and 50% of them have the senior titles; All the management staff have been engaged in International student management for many years, and the proportion of those with overseas study background reaches 83%.
The College has an independent International students apartment. The apartment is equipped with living facilities such as kitchen and laundry room, which provides a guarantee for the accommodation and daily life of International students. The College provides Beijing Municipal Government Scholarship and university-level International Students Scholarship for outstanding International students, and carries out practical teaching and various cultural and sports activities, enabling International students to experience the rich and profound Chinese culture.
